The main pillar of Arellano’s economy is agrarian production. A large part of the village’s population is dedicated to this, as a full time or part time activity, alongside work in local businesses. Arellano fundamentally cultivates cereals, particularly barley, and vines. There are also olives, but they are reduced in number.

Livestock is less important; it is present in Arellano in the form of poultry farms and flocks of sheep used for wool.
